FIAC 2014 - Panel Discussion - Piano - Models for new ways of collaboration

Thursday October, 23rd, 2014 - 12 pm
Auditorium du Grand Palais
Within the context of PIANO, Prepared Platform for Contemporary Art initiated by d.c.a / French association for the development of centres d'art, the panel discussion will shed light on specific collaborative initiatives by art development and production networks that assemble institutions, dealers and artists at an international level such as How to work together, Cluster, L’Internationale, The Fair Gallery.
In recent years, the economics of art have profoundly changed, as have the channels through which ideas and projects circulate. Now more than ever, the art system’s practices and events are being integrated into shared processes whose ultimate goal is the production of works and knowledge. Together, museums, centres d’art and galleries are devising strategies of productive collaboration that bring into play values of solidarity, resource pooling and skill pooling beyond traditional hierarchies.
